Our thoughts jump around. The unruly monkeys in our minds swing from branch to branch trying to catch our attention. The monkey is restless and talkative, it always has something to say. We all have to deal with this chatter on a daily basis and we all have our own way to deal with it.

Some people get quiet because their monkey too loud. Some people try to yell to overpower the chatter in order to be heard. Fighting never brings peace.

Don't fight the monkey, let it be. Don't judge its chatty nature. Don't deny its ego, let it talk. Sit there, breathe. The noise will go quieter, and quieter still, until it disappears altogether leaving you to experience your own inner peace.
