Primrose

It's little wonder people anticipate spring so strongly. It brings warmer weather and some much needed color back to the natural world. These facets together help us to feel altogether more cheerful following dark winter months. The primrose, sometimes referred to as cowslip, is a much loved garden flower and frequent wildflower. It's delicate flowers come in an array of shades bringing a cheerful splash of color to a returning spring garden.

Its name derives from the Latin word prima, meaning the first and referring to it being among the earliest of the springtime blooms.

In traditional floristry, it's said they carry the message "I can't live without you" with the associated symbols of love, devotion and renewal. With this in mind it's an apt flower inspired bead for a loving gift.
